Wordcounts for Articles

As an organization, we use Smartling to translate our product and Guide articles into multiple languages. To estimate the cost of this work, it is necessary to have an accurate word count for the articles in Guide. Would it be possible to generate a word count either as a metric for Zendesk explore (total number of words written per language) or as a count in the Article Settings? Or both!?

John Jarvie you can use the Help Center Manager app to export your Zendesk articles to Word. You can export all or a subset of your articles. From there you should be able to get the total word count to help you estimate the cost of the translation.

Hi John,
Thank you for your feedback. I understand why this capability is valuable, however due to other priorities adding word count to articles is not currently on our radar. If this changes in the future, I'll update this thread you so you'll stay tuned.
