Layouts: keep the width you set for a widget after opening/closing an app

in settings>agent tools>layouts, you can now customize what the agents see where, great! I would have a feature request though, that the side screen returns to the original width after opening and closing an app. Now after opening and closing an app, the widget I have at the right, doubles in width, and I need to put it back manually

+1 to this functionality. We have had lots of comments about this as well. 

Issues with current functionality:

  • Resizing an app on one ticket does not mean it needs to be on the next. 
  • I will say that we have a few people with visual impairment so they have to resize the Side Conversation panel regularly to read the messages BUT they will go to another ticket and it is super big so they have to waste time to shrink it again. This ends up being an impairment limitation.
  • It makes it difficult for training materials and Agent shadowing. As the system does not reset, if you take screenshots or are sharing your screen and it is different due to resizing, it causes an inconsistency as to what is SUPPOSED to be the default behavior

 

Suggestion:

  • Even on the agent side where they can choose to keep the layout they set to carry over between tickets or to reset. Or even a reset button.

They can already choose if they are to stay on ticket, close ticket or go to next ticket upon save.
