I'd like to suggest an additional option: using a third-party tool like Help Desk Migration. You can request a customization to import only open tickets along with the contacts who raised them. This allows you to export the data into a CSV file or directly into another help desk platform of your choice. 

Additionally, you can explore other customizations, such as data deduplication, migrating users as contacts, or fine-tuning tickets based on criteria like date, ID, and more

You can migrate various records such as tickets (and related data), agents, groups, customers, organizations, knowledge base articles, macros, and triggers.

When consolidating two Zendesk instances, select a target organization for all historical data. If each source organization has its own knowledge base, set up a separate data migration for each one.

Additionally, the Migration Wizard allows you to create groups, agents, and custom fields for tickets, organizations, and customers.

If you're on a Team or Professional Support plan, consider using an automated migration service like Help Desk Migration. It works with any Zendesk Suite or Support plan and can transfer a variety of data, including tickets, groups, agents, customers, and knowledge base info. If you're moving between two Zendesk accounts, it can also handle macros, triggers, custom fields for customers and organizations. Plus, you can move call recordings and side conversations as attachments.

If you plan to split a Zendesk instance into multiple instances, consider using Help Desk Migration. With custom data filtering, you can organize brand-specific records by date, tag, or custom field. You can also include attachments, prioritize newer records, and migrate related call recordings and side conversations as attachments.

 

Help Desk Migration allows you to import groups, agents, organizations, customers, tickets, tags, notes, attachments, inline images, and custom fields. It also supports the transfer of knowledge base data.

Hi, 

Note that XML Export is not available for accounts with more than 200,000 tickets.

You can also try exporting your data into CSV via Zendesk. CSV Export includes the data like first reply time in minutes, agent wait time in minutes, requester wait time in minutes, Satisfaction Score, resolution time, etc. Those metrics might help you build a manual report faster.

However, Zendesk doesn’t export ticket descriptions, custom multi-line text, multi-select, date fields, and ticket comments into CSV. If needed, search for a third-party app. For instance, you can try this app, Export by Help Desk Migration - it exports all data mentioned above.

There's also an automated data migration service called Help Desk Migration. Their app can import a big volume of data including comments and attachments, as well as default Jira fields to Zendesk automatedly. Or if you want to import custom fields, you can create them inside the app without jumping between help desks.

It all depends on how you want to export your tickets with all the details. If you want to export them as backup data, then the options above are just good for you. 

But, if you want to move them to a new Zendesk account or another help desk solution, it would take a lot of time to export data in CSV, JSON, or XML files. For merging Zendesk accounts or migrating to a new help desk solution, you can try Help Desk Migration.

As for option 4, you can find export and import apps on the Zendesk marketplace if you want to export your list of users in CSV. 

Or there is an automated data migration app, called Help Desk Migration. They have their app on the Zendesk marketplace.
