    Hi David,

    Thanks for the feedback!  We're doing a lot to overhaul our search experience, and we'll definitely take this into consideration.  Just to make sure I understand, is your ultimate goal to be able to share a search and search filters with other Zendesk agents?

    Hi Erin,

    From my perspective, the answer to your question is yes - the goal would be to share the search with other agents, plus the ability for each of us to bookmark that search as favorite.

    We have the same issues: We need our users to be able to click on a search URL to view the results. The same search query will be used to obtain the ticket number via search REST API.

    The search URLs in https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203660506-Using-Chrome-Search-to-speed-up-your-searches seem to still work, but they take you to old Zendesk UI to show the results.  When you click on one of the results, it'll take you to the new Zendesk UI to see them.  I don't think that's a complete solution, but it's a good place to start.

    Being able to quickly search through the URL has been something I've been doing since the beginning and I'm nervous about what will happen when Zendesk kill the classic interface.

    Apparently it's on the roadmap to be brought into the new interface, I just hope they do it before the old one dies.

    I hope URL based search will be added to new interface soon.

    It is waste of time to copy around ticket numbers (with links) matching to a  search criteCheers

    I agree. It is high time this very useful and important functionality came back. Please Zendesk, re-enable what was very useful in your old interface.  We have been waiting patiently for years now to be able to use the URLs.

    Thanks to everyone on this thread for your continued feedback. We apologize that this thread has been open for a while without an official response. I wanted to jump in here to give you an overdue follow up.

    Collaboration is a key part of any support organization's workflow and we definitely see the challenges a lack of search URLs is creating. Though I don't have great news, I did want to let you know that while this isn't on our immediate roadmap due to competing priorities, we are aware that this is an issue. 

    Please continue to add your votes and comments to this thread to keep this important topic visible. If you haven't had a chance, check out our Search Reference Guide. You can create text queries to hone in on what you're searching for and share the search query with your team when you need to collaborate.

    We simply need a way to permalink to a search and share that with someone else. The actual parameters themselves don't need to be in the URL.

    Is there a way to post search string to ZenDesk search page from external application, so that we can display results on https://subdomain.zendesk.com/agent/search page? That would be helpful too.

    Apparently this used to be available in Zendesk "Classic" and is now no longer an option.

    Please consider adding this back in.  It would save quite a bit of time.

    Does anyone have a sample search URL from Zendesk classic? It may still work and redirect to new UI with search results.

    This was the link that we used to use: https://networxonline.zendesk.com/search?query=email@address.com

    It is just a blank page now.
