Bring outbound call functionality to mobile apps

    Hi,

    I'm happy to tell you that introducing select functionalities from Talk into the Support mobile apps is something we're actively pursuing now. While I can't give you exact timeframes, if you're a Support Android customer, you'll already see that we've released the first of such features "Agent Status control" recently.     We have the same problem.  Have you found a work around or solution?  There seems to be no way to capture mobile outbound calls.  Have you set up a dial in number or something?  Even click to call from the mobile app would work.

    Can the app be configured to tap on the phone # of the caller and place a call directly out of Zendesk. Or at least to copy and paste the number from the app to make the call.

    Same here. Our Tech Support and Account Management functions are intertwined into Customer Experience Specialist which means they are out and about often talking with clients but also receiving tech support calls. When calling back, however, I want our customers to see calls coming from the support line and not from individual cell numbers.

    Bump.

    This is a much needed add on to the mobile app. We want to use Zendesk for both normal customer support, and also some agents assigned to a specific organisation. These agents in the mention organisation are often out and about, but we want the outbound calls to be from the support number, and also want all inbound/outbound calls logged and recorded which seems to not be possible when 'sending to a mobile number'.

    Any update on this?

    Are there any plans yet to be able to initiate a "voice" call from the mobile app?

    That's one of the main features that is really needed!

    We have a sales guy in the Philippines and he calls Australia, and this means we get hit twice when he is on the road.  20c/min to forward to his Philippines mobile, and no way to call from his mobile except for overseas mobile calls.

    bump. very necessary use case. FWIW for those who can't live without it, we use Ringcentral, which nicely integrates with Zendesk. The Ringcentral mobile app has a dialer that lets you place outbound calls from your company number.

    I have many clients that I need to respond to while I'm away from the office. However, I need this feature so that I'm not giving out my personal number to all of them. I was extremely surprised that this is not a core feature of Zendesk Talk. Can you please bump it on your list of priorities?

    Plus one - this is one of the things we need most - even if we could accomplish it using a 3rd party app like Ring Central and still integrate that number into Zend Talk

    Hi

    Has there ever been a resolution for this? My calls are forwarded to my mobile and the quality and ease is great, ideally, I need to be able to also place calls from my mobile so that I can continue to offer support even when not at my desktop?!
