Can't use videos or anchors in web widget?
Is it really true that you can't embed videos or even anchors in the web widget? I've set up multiple articles that all feature videos and anchors; they work just fine inside of the main article view, but if you access the same article with the web widget, the anchors don't work, and the video is just missing entirely.
Has anyone else find a way around this problem? I find it very surprising.

Hi James!
I looked into this for you and found that anchors will not work in the web widget as it does not process most css styles. Only basic text formatting such as bold and italic will work.
The issue with your videos not loading definitely doesn't seem like it should be happening so I am going to open a ticket with you momentarily so we can work on that!

I'm the product manager for the Web Widget and wanted to let you know that YouTube, Vimeo and Wistia videos embedded in Help Center articles now play in the Web Widget. If you have another host, please let me know. We are continuing to add support based on usage.

Can you add support for 'screencast.com' videos and/or let me know I should code the embed of the video so it works in web widget? Is there some way I can write custom JS to detect that the article is loaded into the web widget and make any modifications necessary? How does the Vimeo and Wistia embedding work?

Did you ever secure support for screencast.com hosted video embeds? Does it at least work for embeds in an HC article?

@Brook @Justin, screencast.com has been whitelisted so hosted video embeds should now work.

Excellent! Thank you. I had, in the meantime, successfully embedded a test Screencast.com video snippet in a Help Center article, so proved it worked.
Did you just whitelist recently, or had it been the case for a while?

Can you please add support for Kaltura? We find that enterprise customers block YouTube, Vimeo, and others. https://corp.kaltura.com/
