I know there have been other posts about this issue, but it looks like they are all closed for comments. I wanted to throw this back out there to keep traction on this as it greatly effects reporting.
Our current issue is that even if you move all the users and open tickets over from the duplicate organization, the closed tickets are still a problem. Firstly, because they cannot be switched to the good organization. Secondly, because if you delete the bad organization, the org disappears off the ticket altogether leaving orphaned tickets. The only way to put the org back on is to create a new one - which defeats the whole purpose of cleaning up duplicate organizations.
Not to mention the inaccuracy of reports if you want to know how many tickets an organization is submitting or has submitted.
Having an organization merge process is a must!
