Grouping/Hierarchy of Topics in Community Theme
回答済みMy stakeholder would like to have a visual hierarchy/grouping of COMMUNITY topics and want a similar information architecture for the front end
Similar to: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics
Heading/Group has child Community Topic A, B, C for visual representation.
Currently I don't see a grouping feature in the theme system for community, nor back end data to support user configured grouping. I am using the Copenhagen theme as base.
Can this be done with the basic theme HTML/Template Variables/CSS/JS dynamically or is the above example something else e.g. hardcoded HTML or custom App/Back end or unreleased feature.
An example of Zendesk theme/variables that powers this would be awesome.

Hi Ian -
You are correct that there is no hierarchy structure to the community. This page is just a visual grouping and the layout is a custom built theme. Our development team wrote up a couple of posts about how they built the Zendesk Guide theme, you can see those here:
Introduction to how we did Zendesk's Help Center theme customizationZendesk's Help Center theme customization, part 1: How we use Zendesk features
Zendesk's Help Center theme customization, part 2: How we use open source tools
I'm going to share your post with our product team. There are also a couple of theme customization outfits that frequent these forums, and they may be able to help you build something similar.
Additionally, you could check out the.themes available in the Zendesk Marketplace - some are available for purchase and some are free.

Hi Ian,
It's possible to add a hierarchy/grouping of topics in the community only with coding. As a Zendesk partner, we can assist you with this help center customization.
Best regards,

Ended up writing custom JS and calling the endpoint, but there is not specific data available on API.
Ended up using a theme setting to help define a hierarchy. -
Thanks for letting us know what you ended up doing, Ian.

I am also looking for a way to structure our community page in a similar way as ZD does. Ian Lintner - I am a bit new to customizations and rely on other users to provide code. I am not following exactly how you achieved the format, but if you could provide more detailed instructions, I would be grateful.
Thank you in advance!
