Zendesk sending community reply posts to wrong user

Suddenly when I reply to seemingly any post in our Community Forums, one certain user keeps getting my replies even though he did not post in those topics. It's like he has suddenly become subscribed to all topics in the community and keeps getting my messages.
I haven't "tried" anything because I have no idea how to even begin to troubleshoot this.
It's to the point where I'm afraid to post answers in the community forum because I don't know how many messages I am going to bombard that one customer with.

Could it be that the user is following that community topic or is following you? If you follow a particular user, then you see whenever that users posts or if you follow a particular community topic, you see whenever someone posts in that topic.
You can see if the person is subscribed to any topics by looking at the user in Zendesk Support. Click on Help Center and then select Subscriptions from the drop-down on that tab (I think it defaults to Comments).
The only way I have found to see if someone is following another user is to assume that user's identity and go to the profile from the Help Center. In the upper right corner, you can see how many people that user is following but I haven't been able to figure out how/if you can see who the user is following.
Check out if the user has either of those two follows set - hopefully it's one of those and it's an easy fix!
