How to make a query visible to others in explore
As we begin migrating reports from Insights to Explore, I'm finding it challenging to make a query visible to others. As a work around, I can add the query to a dashboard and share the dashboard. However, Insights provides a direct path to do this.
In Insights - under Options/Settings (in the report), there is an option to make the query visible to others.
Is this feature/option available in Explore?
Thanks,

You are correct. You can only share individual dashboards. There is not a way to share individual queries.

We also have a need to share individual queries with users. Having to add these to a dashboard and then share the dashboard is unwieldy. It's also not great for admins already managing numerous genuine dashboards.

I feel like part of this eventual solution should include adding the default datasets to the editor authorizations page. That would allow us to make someone an editor for x dataset but view-only for default dataset. Or view-only for x dataset and no access to default dataset. etc

Hi Mark and Stephen,
Thanks for adding your thoughts. Unfortunately, it's not possible to share individual queries at this time but I absolutely understand that this would save time and effort when sharing data with your team. I recommend posting your feedback in our Explore Product Feedback Community for visibility for our Product Managers to consider for future developments!
