Giving Viewing/Editing permissions on Dashboard Level
Currently, users are given the permissions of Editor or Viewer in Explore on the user/role level. This means that if I want to share a dashboard with a user, their permission is already determined by their role.
I would like to be able to permission dashboards on a dashboard level, not the role level.
Here's my use case: I would like to share a dashboard to a user who is an Editor (see User B below). However, I do not want them to have the ability to edit the dashboard (i.e., change the layout, queries, etc.). I just want them to have the ability to view the dashboard and use the interactions (decompose, filter, drillthrough, etc.). If I choose the public link option, then they can view the dashboard, but they cannot use the interactions on the dashboard (decompose, filter, drillthrough, etc.). Thus, I would like the ability to share a dashboard with a user that provides them with the ability to view the dashboard and use the interactions (decompose, filter, drillthrough) but NOT be able to edit the dashboard.

Hi Ryan,
Thank you for submitting feedback on Explore!
Could you maybe elaborate a bit more on the use case for this? Why shouldn't that particular individual with the edit rights be able to edit that dashboard?

Thanks for the response, Jalle van Goor den Oosterlingh | RealConnections NL!
In the use case I outline above, I would like the user to still be able to build their own dashboards but I do not want them to be able to edit the dashboard I share with them. The dashboard I have in mind will be shared on an enterprise-level, so I'm hesitant to share it enterprise-wide with users who will have the ability to edit the underlying configuration and queries. It would be different if I were just sharing the dashboard with a handful of users.

Thanks for clarifying Ryan! This should help in understanding the case :).
