Why Gather text editor is so limited?

    Hi Dasha - 

    The community post text editor and the comment editor in the knowledge base are the same. 

    The article publishing tool is more robust, but that is available only on the Admin side and not the end-user side. Because everything in the community is end-user facing/there is no publishing for admins that is different from end-users, it does not include the more robust capabilities of the article publisher.

    Hi Dasha Gurova,

    I will add that we do have a few improvements lined up that are coming in Q4 of 2020. Specifically we want to add ability to add quotes and code blocks in the community post/comment editor.

    While I am at it, are there any plans to implement comment threading on the community?

    You're welcome :)

    I have seen your other post about comment threading, as well as also heard about it from others. It's definitely something that is on our radar. However I want to avoid setting expectations and then not meeting them - so I can't commit to threading at this time, but promise you that we keep looking at it and try to plan for it when we can. Once it has a concrete plan I will be sure to update the relevant posts.
