After having our web team deploy chat via our website, I've made the frustrating discovery that specific URLs cannot be applied in the Zendesk Chat Widget security settings, and that only domains or subdomains can be specified, as per xxx.zendesk.com/chat/agent#widget/widget_security (under the 'Allowed Domains' section)
Zendesk Support tell me that code changes to suppress the widget is the best way to stop it appearing on the whole domain, and should then allow our web team to specify particular URLs for it appear on (https://developer.zendesk.com/embeddables/docs/widget/settings#suppress).
The downside to this, is that if I want to change the purpose of the chat in future, I need to submit another code change to my web team. This will make it super hard to trial chat on specific pages on our website on the fly..
Is there a workaround for this that doesn't require such a fundamental change? It's such a frustrating limitation
