    Are you sure the transparency is valid in the image itself. 

    I just tested with an online image, and the transparency worked fine: test with this image and see if the transparency is retained.

    If it is, then the problem is your image. If it is not, then we need to dig deeper.

    Hey Amy, yep, the image has a transparent background, this is the image I used seen in the above article header

    some images are displayed on the same article fine, with the transparent background

    Really strange. I don't have an answer, but the first things I would look at to troubleshoot are:

    Are all the images the same format? 

    Are they all being used in the article body?

    Are they all being referenced the same way in the source HTML?

    Any differences can point to the source of the problem. Let me know what you find.
