Zendesk Chat message formatting

Can we use a markup language, rich text, or anything similar for messages in live chat? For example, we want to provide a response that includes bullet points.

Hi Fernando,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Although we have no immediate plans to support rich text formatting in Chat, you can get bullet points by copying and pasting them into the text box.

Some customers will save bullet point steps as a shortcut/macro (copy/paste from their text editor) and it will get rendered correctly for the end user on the widget (screenshot below as an example)
