It works out of the box with the current Zendesk theme we are using(https://www.zendesk.com/marketplace/themes/83/vertio/?queryID=d5d756be6872d4d2f08ff9d1b676e7b7). I've also tested it myself using a personal account by submitting a ticket with all available markdown options:

Additionally, we already have clients that used it in an actual ticket. Thanks to them, I checked it myself; the ticket formatting is much better with the end-user markdown.

Below is a screenshot of my test ticket to verify this and see it with my own eyes :D

Almost four years and we finally got it - the official markdown in Zendesk for end users!

Thank you Philipp for sharing with Zendesk how easily this is done.

Hey Dave Dyson (gmail), are there any developments in regard to this feature request? I'm asking since the unavailability to set "End of Month" as an export date for a report adds much manual work to set the export date accordingly each month or to have multiple exports for 28,29,30,31 for each month.

Feature Request Summary: 

Currently, the dashboard reporting in Zendesk Explore can be set only for a specific date which is troublesome for monthly/quarterly/yearly reports. It would be best to be able to schedule a dashboard delivery to be sent at the end of every month regardless of the days count.

Description/Use Cases: 

We are currently collecting Zendesk data using Explore on a monthly basis, and all of our reports must be sent at the end of the month. This becomes a problem when you have to manually set the end of the month each time to the exact date. For example, for February 2022, we must schedule the report to be sent on 28th, and when the next month starts we must correct that to be the 31st.

Business impact of limitation or missing feature:

The impact of this request on our end is moderate since there are cases in which the manual setting of the date can be forgotten leading to reports not being delivered requiring manual exporting with the previous date.

Other necessary information or resources:

N/A

Hello Zendesk,

I wanted to raise end users' unavailability to use markdown in tickets. This is a critical feature to many of your clients since any software company that uses your tools need to have proper formatting of the ticket contents by the end user. Receiving tickets from clients containing code, logs, a list of steps, or even bullet points makes the ticket content hard to read.

Could you please share if there is a specific reason you do not consider implementing this?
