    Hi Linda

If you use native Zendesk feature to restrict sections/articles to logged-in users; those won't be listed on your help-center.

I understand, you want to show a teaser to anonymous users, and if they want to access that information they need to sign-up, and sign-in.

We tried to do something like that in two different ways:

    1. Client-side solution: everything is set to be accessible by public but we hide and force login using javascript (less secure -- someone with motivation and skills can by-pass login). Content would also appear in search-results.
    2. Client + Server-Side (API): You keep your sections hidden (using Zendesk settings), but help-center gets list of such sections via a server-side script which uses API. This is secure, we just pull down name/link of locked-down categories/sections and display on help-center; user would be required to sign-in before seeing the content.

Please let us know if you would like to talk about it more. You can get in touch with us to discuss or understand more, even if you want to do it by yourself; we are happy to help.
