PLEASE show TAGS in views

    Hey Jill- 

    I don't think adding tags to tickets will be happening soon due to the sheer amount of tags a single ticket can have. This would likely not render well in views. 

    However there would be two options available that I think might help you with this. 

    You could create a custom ticket field with these options as custom ticket fields are able to be added to views. In addition, custom fields can also add tags to tickets to keep up with the current tagging structure you are using for your tickets. Using a drop down custom field may be the best option in this case. 

    As far as tag reporting however, it is possible to report on tags in Insights; Insights/Gooddata is available on our Professional plan and above. If you have access to Gooddata the report would look something like this:

    What: # Tickets

    How: Ticket Tag

    And you'd filter the ticket tag to the four tags you're looking to report on by select "filter this attribute" in the third column after selecting Ticket Tag. 

    You could also get more specific with this and use the "What" metrics # tickets created or # tickets solved if # tickets was not adequate.  

    Lastly you could select Filter and filter this report by a time frame based on a Data Event metric.

    Hi Becca,

    Just want to say a huge thanks for the above.  This was incredibly helpful to find out how to do reporting on our tags that we use via tag locker.  I had read a few other articles on the community about tag reporting, but didn't really understand any of it and found it to be somewhat complexed for what we were looking for.
