Change Facebook Open Graph Meta Tag when sharing the Help center post to Facebook
답변함Hi,
When I share the help center post on Facebook, it's not showing the right Article subject and photo from of the post. therefore I would like to know is there any way to change the Facebook open graph meta tag when sharing the post on Facebook? please find the example below:
1. Want to be able to change the photo or get the photo from the post for different articles.
2. Change the " HelloToby Help Center " to the name of the article (the subject name)
3. Change the article description
Thank you!!
Best,
Coco

Hey Coco!
I recommend reviewing Facebook's Webmasters documentation on how they identify the information that is displayed when adding posts.
In order to customize your Guide Help Center theme to include the tags outlined in Facebook's documentation you will need Zendesk Guide Professional subscription or above.
The og:image, og:title, and og:description Tags appear to be what you'll need to add into your Help Center's theme to set your desired values.

Hi James,
Thanks for the reply. It has been fixed now.

What file in my theme do I edit the OG attributes? I don't see them anywhere, and if there is a liquid placeholder, I'm not sure what it is.
My guess if I would add them to the "document_head" template file.

Hey Kevin!
The document_head.hbs template is the location I would recommend adding these OG attributes to, correct. These values are not included in a default theme so you'll need to add these to your custom theme.
Please keep in mind that updates made in this location will impact all shared content so there are limitations to how granular you can be when defining these values.
