Font size choices not tracking between editor and article view
답변함Hi, for many months now, the Zendesk Guide editor (wysiwyg, not the html editor)--at least for our documentation team--, has been demonstrating some huge discrepancies between our font choices in the editor, and final displayed font sizes in the displayed article. NOTE: This is not a style/CSS issue - final view of the article can vary the font size within a paragraph or even within a sentence!
This was not always the case. Perhaps some update to the editor in the past couple of years changed the stability of how font sizing is handled. Font handling sure feels more "flaky" then it did a couple of years ago.
Check out the attached image for one example. The EDITOR view is at the top. In the editor, I’ll often paste in a block of text and it will come into the editor as “medium”-sized font. I then usually do a “Select ALL” and then set the font size for everything to “large”. Yet, in the actual PUBLISH VIEW (seen at the bottom of the attached screenshot), some of the text has decided NOT to follow my instructions. Some text remains as “medium” size, while other parts of the text do follow my instructions to become “large” size. There’s even a font size change suddenly in the middle of sentence: see the 2nd line in the #2 bullet.
To fix this situation, I have to resort to very frustrating trial-and-error edits.
This isn't an isolated occurrence. I have been editing and publishing dozens of articles over the last year and I continually run into situations where the PUBLISH view font sizes do not match what I instructed in the editor. Again, this is not a style/css issue.
I've even had a couple of situations where the first paragraph of my article is forced into ALL CAPS. And no amount of trial-and-error editing seems to get rid of it.
Sincerely,
-David

Hi David -
This article explains the discrepancy you're seeing:
Why is an article's appearance different in the editor than in Help Center?
