    Hi Dan,

    Good question. The tags functionality in the new experience is handled via the Web Widget settings which gets applied on page load: https://developer.zendesk.com/embeddables/docs/widget/settings#tags

    However, the $zopim.livechat APIs are aliased in the new experience so you can continue to use the API and it should add/remove tags as before.

    Hi Ramin,

    Within the web widget, there doesn't appear to be a means to remove the tags though, even though the docs are saying we should look at the tags settings. It only appears to add them. Do you know where I should ask for more info on this issue?

    When you say the $zopim API is aliased, do you mean this should still work? Are there any examples of the aliased APIs being used in the new web widget?

    Hi Dan,

    The current Web Widget API is designed to specify in settings (so if you remove/add certain tags in the subsequent API call, it should be reflected). If this is not the case, you will want to email your issue to support@zendesk.com to get further assistance.

    As for the aliasing, the code example you shared should work and will remove the specified tags even when using the integrated chat experience.
