Search results article preview text not working as expected
답변함We can't seem to figure out how exactly the Guide search pulls back the one line of preview text in the search results. We do see the italics for an exact match - for example, if I search for "import template," it's clear it's previewing a line from the article that includes the phrase "import template."
However, we have exact matches much earlier in the article; instead of pulling from the first sentence where it says "import template," it's pulling from a sentence halfway down the article or hidden behind an accordion. In some articles, it seems to be totally ignoring our first two to three paragraphs with exact matches.
Can we do anything to affect this preview text, other than removing exact matches to get the preview text to shift accordingly?

There's no easy way to do this. With custom Javascript you could repeat the query using the Zendesk API, which returns full articles. From there you could search for the first match in the article body and replace the preview text accordingly.
It's definitely not a quick and easy solution so it may be more trouble than what it's worth.
