Reposting this person's post because the solution was not clear and I am experiencing the exact same issue. I need to be able to have several tabs and instances of zendesk open at once. If it's a cacheing issue, please tell me how to fix it. I am using google chome and I am signed in to my user account of chrome on both my laptop and my desktop. I need to be able to be online on chat on both at once...I also need to be online on my phone and able to view zendesk support views and update tickets at the same time.
As an admin, I need to be in both the ZenChat Dashboard as well as Regular ZenDesk to keep an eye on queues and problem tickets.
It is immensely annoying when I'm supervising a chat for someone, and then I'm asked by someone else to look into a ticket they're stuck on. As all support teams know, time is crucial.
- I am supervising a chat in ZenChat Dashboard
- I get a request to look at a ticket, and open the link in another tab
- I go back to check on the person I was supervising a chat for and I'm posed with this screen https://cl.ly/2A3N300x0b0K
- I am prompted to Refresh or Sign out, I select refresh. After I click this refresh if I'm using Chrome, I'm prompted to refresh a SECOND time. https://cl.ly/3V230H202b0u this can sometimes take a bit too long, and I may miss a few messages and very crucial coaching opportunities for the agent live chatting.
This seems like a major design flaw that should be rectified, or at least be on the list to be. I should be able to have 2 instances of ZenDesk open, especially if they're two separate parts of Zendesk.
If a setting could be made to remove this feature instead of removing altogether (as I understand the product designers may have had a reason for this being a feature) that would be just as good.
