We are using the API and triggers to capture data from an updated ticket and then calling back to the Zendesk API once our webservice captures the data sent from Zendesk.
The trigger conditions are set to only fire the trigger if the ticket was not updated via Web Service. This is critical to avoid an eternal loop of ticket update, trigger, callback to Zendesk ticket with comments.
However, this condition in the trigger to not fire if the ticket is updated via Web Service makes it so when the ticket is updated via other web services, the trigger will not fire.
I was hoping Zendesk could detect which web service updates the ticket so I can set the trigger to fire when some web services update the ticket but not others. This doesn't seem possible.
I am stuck here and hoping for suggestions.
Again, what I am looking for is to be able to not send the trigger payload if one of our web services updates the ticket but fire the trigger if other web services updates the ticket.
I cannot permanently set a tag on the ticket to stop the trigger because we need the trigger to fire on future updates (just not updates sent from one specific web service.)
