Web Widget Code Error 'Zendesk Web SDK: Error: Init: Visitor has been banned'

I'm getting the following error 'Zendesk Web SDK: Error: Init: Visitor has been banned' when trying to add the Web Widget (Classic) to an external website.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Or do you have any advice to stop this error from occurring?

Hi Joanna,

Troubleshooting these errors will require more information, like the subdomain and the test page where the widget is embedded where you are seeing this error. Please send that information by creating a conversation with our advocacy team and they can assist you with troubleshooting things further. 

As it may involve account settings, it isn't something we can discuss on the public community posts.

I am the same error, I am not able to see the Live-Chat in the url domain that it is installed, although it is activated.

@..., can you please elaborate where can configure or whitelist this settings?

Carlos Arias Please reach out to the advocacy team via the Messaging widget for further troubleshooting. Provide them the URL where the widget is embedded and where you are seeing the issue. Also provide your account subdomain as well. Thanks.

I fix this by not wildcarding domains in Chat > Settings > Widget . Which means *.domain.com will not allow domain.com. You shall explicitly write domain.com to enable live chat on it
