Search by Voicemail Length
We would appreciate the ability to have Voicemail length as a searchable field. We would love to be able to triage calls with very short VMs to a different team than the group that handles longer more intricate VMs.
This would allow us to also create triggers that could auto-sort said VMs.

We receive hundreds of voicemails each day, which I know is a problem in itself. However, we would love to filter them by their actual length as we find that most under 5 seconds long are empty; thus, we could auto-solve a good percentage of them. As of now, we have to open each ticket and view it.

I just figured out a way to do this for new voicemails as they come in. I looked for the difference between empty voicemails and voicemails with a message, and noticed empty voicemails do not have a transcription at all, not even an empty header. We weren't looking to auto close them, just be able to view them in a group, so you might want to do it a little differently, but it will be similar.
Create a trigger with 2 conditions. 1) Channel is Voicemail and 2) Comment Text - Does not contain the following string - Transcription and 1 action (I used a tag action the ticket so that we could create a view, but you could also set the action to just close the ticket).
By finding voicemails without the word transcription in then, you'll find all new voicemails that are blank. You can't do this as an automation, it only works as a trigger. Hope it helps!

Hey Dan Scott,
This is an awesome workaround you shared with the Community. Would you be willing to share this with our users in our Tips & Tricks Section?
Best regards.

Hey Devan - Community Manager yes I'd be happy to do that!
