    Disregard, I got the answer I needed.  Copying in below, in case anyone lands here with the same question in the future.

    This happens because you have no SSL certificate set-up for "support.mycompany.com" once you upload the certificate for "support.mycompany.com" you will need to change the CNAME record to mycompany.ssl.zendesk.com and everything should work fine.
