    Hi Dory,

    Thanks for the feedback, glad you are liking the product! We have heard from other customers about offering a audit log for all activity in the account. 

    Are you seeing that some of your admin agents are incorrectly deleting chats? 

    We are adding the ability for custom roles and permissions and one permission is to restrict what chats a person can see in History. Should hear more about this feature in the next couple of weeks.

    Hi Ramin. 

    I have never noticed my admin agents deleting any chats. However agents tell me that some chat transcripts can't ever be found in history. Seems like they have just disappeared and we have no idea where they've gone.

    Any thoughts? Can you automatically  delete any chats after some time?

    Hi Dory,

    If you notice a specific chat or chats not appearing in your account, can you please email chat@zendesk.com so we can investigate the issue further for you? They should no be disappearing and we do not delete account data.

    Could you please direct me to how I can update my account to auto delete chats older than x days?

    I have no need for the chats to be retained so I'd like to tackle that data minimisation opportunity please.

    David Pitt there is no setting to auto-delete chats, you will need to use the REST APIs to write your own script to delete the chats. Here is a link to the API docs: https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/chat/chats#delete-chat

    That seems simple enough on a direct chat account but is the oauth side designed for a coded automatic delete?

    Unfortunately we do a have zendesk support chat account so this applies to us:

    "If you created your Zendesk Chat account in Zendesk Support, you must authenticate with an OAuth access token. See OAuth access token."

    From what we can see, the oauth registration is a manual process.

    Could you please point me to a postman example of how to delete a chat, via the oauth route?

    Could we have an update on this? Does locating the specific admin who deleted zendesk chats is an available feature already?
