Hi Guv, thanks for reaching out. We are planning to enable you to embed dashboards into 3rd party platforms like Confluence. However I don't have an ETA yet

    Hi,

Does this include access for light agents?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Christopher Kenrick Hi Chris, yes, you can share dashboards with anyone and this does indeed include light agents.

If you update the report, do you neeed to send a new link or the previous one will link to the new report automatically?

    Thanks a lot.

    Rodolphe.

Hi Rodolphe LINARD, once you have published the changes you made on your dashboard (either in a query on any other element), the changes will automatically be available via the link you had created (no need to create/send a new link).

    Hi Vincent,

do you have a rough timeline on when this EAP will be finished and the functionality will be included natively?

Also: Rob mentioned that this will be a "paid Explore feature". Will there be additional costs for Explore Professional customers as well?

Thanks for implementing this finally, much anticipated change.

I wonder though, how do I use the public link to embed the report on my client's website? This would be a highly desired functionality, is this possible?

Hi Fabio, the GA timeline for this feature is not yet set. The EAP will likely be running for a couple of months so that we can capture & iterate over the feedback. This feature will indeed come at an extra cost for customers on Explore Professional. We'll share more information as soon as we can.

Hi Ilya, you should be able to embed an iframe pointing to the link URL. Note that we're enforcing IP restrictions configured in Zendesk, in which case viewers will need to connect from the configured IP range.

Correction -- at the moment, iframes are unfortunately not working for security reasons (see that article). We are discussing different ways to address that limitation w/o compromising security. We'll share more information as soon as possible

Thanks for replying Vincent, I can't seem to make the iFrame work, I've sent a support ticket, would be happy to get assistance :)

    Vincent -

I've been in communication with Zendesk Support regarding embedding Explore reports in a Confluence page via iframes. We are part of the EPA and was told that this functionality should be available. Additionally, per your message above, it should work. However, the Support Agent commented that it is not something currently supported.

It looks like llya isn't able to make it work either. Any comment on this? Is this something that we can do?

    Any update on GA?

Yeah I'd also like an update, also we're still waiting for a workaround for embedding functionality, the link alone has limited benefit for us, though it's still better than what is offered without, we wouldn't pay on top of our professional plan, without this basic option.

Hi Jithin Raju, Ilya, a quick note to let you know that we are still working on the GA timeline & investigating the possibility to embed public dashboards. We'll share more information as soon as possible. Many thanks for your continued patience

Vincent Dollet. I would like the ability to turn the option to export on or off on dashboards shared outside Zendesk.  With so much focus on privacy laws (GDPR and CCPA) this would be a really useful feature.  Thanks

Hi Sandra M, apologies for not getting back to you. It's a great point. Can you please share more information about the key pains you'd like us to address:

    • Would you need to turn off that feature completely to avoid anyone to create links?
    • Would you need to need to control who can create links?
    • Would you need to control the links that have been created and act on them?

Hi Yusuf Mohamed, we're currently looking at a GA in July / August. We're planning to communicate more information in June.

My use case is to present dashboards on a confluence page hence available to all staff from many locations thus, different IP addresses. Will this be possible? thx
