Working in IT since 40 years, I still use en-US as my default language despite working for most of those 40 years in a country with four official languages none of which are english.
Now, I see the following happen in Zendesk Support:
I merge a ticket which is written in any of german, english, french or italian - and the merge comment is always in the language specified in my profile.
This is not user friendly! Thus, I propose to implement one of the following fixes to this behaviour:
- make the merge messages configurable (then, we can incorporate several languages)
- make the merge messages use the language used in the ticket
