Setting up the new Shopify integration
ConcluídaThe new Shopify integration allows Shopify merchants to set up the Shopify app in Zendesk Support and Chat, and enable the Web Widget in their storefront. It provides the following features:
- Set up and manage the integration and the Shopify app in Zendesk Admin Center
- Connect multiple Shopify storefronts to a Zendesk instance
- Enable or disable the Web Widget and sidebar apps in the Admin Center
- Display customer and order information in the Shopify app in Zendesk
To set up the integration, you need to be on the Zendesk Team plan or above and have a Shopify account. You can sign up to the EAP to gain access.

Connecting Zendesk to your Shopify storefront
Once the Shopify EAP is enabled for your account, you can set up the integration in the Admin Center.
To connect Zendesk and Shopify storefront
- Open any Zendesk product.
- Click the Zendesk Products icon in the top bar, then select Admin Center.
- Click the Integrations icon in the left sidebar, and in Shopify integration, click Connect.
- In Shopify shopfront, enter your Shopify shopfront subdomain.
- Add a name for your integration under Connection name, and click Next. For example:
You are automatically redirected to your Shopify storefront to install the Zendesk app. - In your Shopify storefront, select Install app. The Zendesk app is automatically installed in your Shopify storefront, and then you are redirected back to your Admin Center.
Connecting Zendesk to another Shopify storefront
The integration supports connecting multiple Shopify storefronts to a Zendesk instance. Each store is configured separately within Admin Center and uses separate sidebar apps in Support and Chat.
To connect Zendesk to another Shopify storefront
- In your Admin Center, click the Integrations icon () in the left sidebar, and in Shopify integration, click View.
- In the upper right corner, click New Connection.
- In Shopify shopfront, enter your Shopify shopfront subdomain.
- Add a name for your integration under Connection name, and click Next. You are automatically redirected to your Shopify storefront to install the Zendesk app.
- In your Shopify storefront, select Install app. The Zendesk app is automatically installed in your Shopify storefront, and then you are redirected back to Admin Center displaying your storefront connections.
Installing the Shopify app in Support and Chat
You can install the Shopify sidebar app in Support and Chat in the Admin Center.
To install the Shopify app in Support or Chat
- In your Admin Center, click the Integrations icon in the left sidebar, and in Shopify integration, click View.
- Under Your Connections, select the storefront and click Configure.
- Select Sidebar App in the left sidebar.
- In Support app or Chat app, select Configure, then click Install.
A message is displayed confirming the app is installed.
Configuring your Shopify app in Support and Chat
The Shopify sidebar app for Support and Chat is configured in the Admin Center.
To configure your Shopify app in Support and Chat
- In your Admin Center, click the Integrations icon in the left sidebar, and in Shopify integration, click View.
- Under Your Connections, select the storefront and click Configure.
- Select Sidebar App in the left sidebar.
- In Support app or Chat app, select Configure.
- Select the Enable sidebar app checkbox and click Save.
The app will be displayed in the app sidebar in Support and Chat.
Enabling the Web Widget in Shopify
The Web Widget can be displayed in your Shopify storefront which is enabled in the Admin Center. Before doing this, check that you have first enabled the Web Widget in Support under Channels > Widget. For more information, see Configuring the Web Widget.
To enable the Web Widget in Shopify
- In your Admin Center, click the Integrations icon in the left sidebar, and in Shopify integration, click View.
- Under Your Connections, select the storefront and click Configure.
- Select Web Widget in the left sidebar.
- Select the Enable Web Widget check box.
A confirmation message displays that the widget is enabled in your storefront.
Disconnecting your integration
In the Admin Center, you can disconnect your Shopify integration which will also remove the Shopify sidebar apps in Support and Chat, Web Widget in your storefront, and the Zendesk app in your Shopify storefront.
To disconnect your integration
- In your Admin Center, click the Integrations icon in the left sidebar, and in Shopify integration, click View.
- Under Your Connections, select the storefront and click Configure.
- Click Disconnect in the upper right corner.
- Click Confirm.
