    Never mind, I think I have found a way to edit it:

    Just changed this in CSS:

    .header {
    max-width: 1160px;

    to this

    .header {
    max-width: auto;

    I tried auto and I still have white space, does anyone know a fix?

    Hmm, I am not a super expert in this but it has worked for me. 

    Here is what my code looks like may be try to compare and see if you are missing a trick?

    .header {
    max-width: auto;
    background-color: #ec512e;
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 0 5%;
    position: relative;
    align-items: center;
    display: flex;
    height: 71px;
    justify-content: space-between;
    }
