Content Blocks - How do I permanently delete a content block?

    Hi Rachel Miller, At the moment it's not possible to delete the content block, it's only possible to remove it from an article. We plan to add the deletion pretty soon.

    I just want to say that I was a little bit over-optimistic with saying that we'll have the deletion of CB available this year. It looks more like Jan next year. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

    I am very disappointed to find out that there is no option to delete the wrong content blocks. Please fix.

    Katarzyna Karpinska Any update on the status of this? It's becoming difficult to manage content blocks when there's a big bunch of defunct ones crowding the list.

    Yes :D, we are just fixing last few issues and it should be available in July.

    Hi, I can see that deleting the content block is now available, but I have a problem: It says that I need to remove the CB from all the articles it's used in before deleting, which I have done, but it still shows that that I can't delete it. The CB was used in one archived article, which is now permanently deleted, but I still can't delete the CB. Why is this?

    Hey Nelli Laine,

    I believe this is related to the issue I mentioned with archived articles. We'll be addressing this issue in the next few weeks as we deal the with the underlying issue. In the meantime, if you remove this particular content block from the archived article as well, you should then be able to delete this content block. Otherwise, as I mentioned this will be fixed in the next few weeks, we're working on this issue now.

    Thanks Ryan! Can't edit the archived article anymore as it's now deleted already, so we'll wait for the fix then. No rush with that, just caused some confusion. Tried following the new posts related to this CB EAP, but must have missed that one. Thanks again for clarifying, helps a lot!
