Guide - Permission of views
RespondidaHi, I have a question about guide permissions. To give some context when we first set up our Zendeks account for our Customer Support Department we never anticipated we would use it as a 'shared service' however now we are adding more licenses to our account so our Sales department can use Zendesk as well.
My questions are our current guide contains over a 1000 articles and currently, each article is set with the permission of all signed-in users to view however with the new license they are not supposed to be able to see our content.
Is there a way I can change that without having to manually change the access of a 1000 articles? Can I change the categories?

Hi Vanessa,
Access is determined on the article level so you'll have to update each one. You can do it in groups of 30 from the Guide Admin view though so although it's a little better than doing it one by one, with 1000 articles, it could still take a while.
If you have someone technical, you could probably use the API to do it as well.

Thanks for your response. I've chosen 30 articles but it then does not seem to allow me to access guide settings for 30 at a time. If I choose one I can do it from this page though.

That's really odd. I am able to get the Article settings button active and change the permissions on the articles in bulk. I'm not sure what could be stopping this button from becoming active. If you try to do it for just 2 or 5 articles, will that button become active? I'm wondering if there is an article in there that is for some reason causing an issue.

It happens as soon as I chose more than 1 article. I've tried to choose different once. That is very strange.

I figured it out. The issue is that some of our articles have been written on 2 different languages and for those you can't bulk change the permission.
