Fixed position for the reply textbox as you scroll down to older messages
Publicado 07 de set. de 2021
Feature Request Summary:
ZenDesk would be SO MUCH BETTER if it had a fixed position text box so you could scroll through older messages and still type your reply without having to scroll back up again, for big threads where you have to address many points this can become really annoying.
Description/Use Cases:
Make the textbox position (and size) fixed at the top of the page as you scroll down so you can read older messages and type your reply.
Business impact of limitation or missing feature:
Being a Support Engineer and dealing with complex issues needs you to constantly read and make sense of older messages before crafting your reply back to a customer. Having to constantly scroll down and back up and memorize the points you need to address is a huge drag for us.

Thank you for providing feedback. We won't be able to focus efforts on the legacy interface at the moment as we are investing in improving the Agent Workspace experience. However, I'll keep an eye on this post for more comments. Thanks!

I fully support this petition as well. The current answer should stay on top, allowing to scroll over the conversation while writing a response.

Great points raised by Leonardo and I appreciate everyone else weighing in. Santi, I love the hackiness of the CSS injection, it really brings back the spirit of the old Zendesk interface. CSS everything into oblivion!
Just a heads-up that this particular feedback forum doesn't have the eyes of our agent interface team, but I'll make sure that I bring this up on their radar. As we move to a new community in the next couple of months, it won't matter anyway, so don't change what you're doing, I'll just keep an eye out for this.

This was a recent request brought to us from a customer
"When replying to a ticket the most recent response from support is at the top of the page and the place to enter my response is...at the bottom! When writing a response, you often have to refer back to supports most recent response, lots of needless scrolling up and down here. Of course, the more interactions in the support request, the worse this problem gets."
