Hi,
I’m looking for a way to single-source small pieces of content, kind of like Zendesk Content Blocks, but for smaller content. So I’d like to have variables like “Product Name” and “Release Version”, and I would place the variables in different articles in the knowledgebase. And if I need to change a variable’s value, I can do so from a single location, and the value would be updated in all the different places.
This will help me to ensure consistency across the board and save time by updating the content from a single location instead of having to manually search and update all the relevant instances in the knowledgebase.
Important to note: Content Blocks are great but very limited in their uses. The reason is they don't inherit the styling of the location they're placed in (as they do in other systems). For example, if I place a content block in an
tag with a customized background color, their styling looks off.
So implementing the variable feature could also be a good opportunity to fix the Content Blocks.
