Feature Request for hyperlinks

I need to have and would like the ability to create a hyperlink to a file on a server share.

 

We have some html static pages (i.e. email signatures) that we do not want to have hosted on an external source.  I would like to be able to create a link using this industry standard:

file://(ServerName)/(Path to file)/(HTML File).html

When dealing with those who are not PC literate you need to make things as easy as possible.

 

When last time we changed the signature and the KB Article said copy and paste this location into the address bar of Chrome, it was a disaster. Of the 6000 employees we had over 60% that did not understand what was needed.

By saying click HERE, and it taking them directly to the HTML file, I am hoping to eliminate a lot of the issues.

    Hey Harold,

    Sorry to disappoint you but if you will type  - hyperlinks- in search here you will see that simple thing like this has never been put on roadmap and users that complained about it for last 4 years didn't have this fixed and done.

     

    So, you are better off to different solution than Zendesk as looks this will never be done.
