Zendesk / Jira connector
已于 2023年3月27日 发布
The Zendesk <-> Jira DC connector does not currently have any logging.
In order to get early indication of a problem with the integration
we want at least warning or error logging recognisable as from the connector app
sent to the standard Jira logging component (log4j)
so that we can get early indication of a problem or potential problem so that we can monitor and troubleshoot proactively.
Currently we don't know of any problem until our users tell us.
Thanks.

Hi
you can configure log4j to log warning or error messages related to the connector. Locate the log4j configuration file: The log4j configuration file is usually located in the <Jira-installation-directory>/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes directory.
Save and restart Jira: Save the log4j file and restart Jira to apply the changes.
For a more straightforward approach, please check out the decentralized integration solution called Exalate.

Hi Mathieu.
We were told that the connector does not write anything to log4j, and we have been unable to find any log output from it. Are you saying it does write to log4j? Do you under what class name / logger name? Do you have an example log4j.properties snippet?

Brett Connor mathieu.lepoutre Did you find a way to do this?
I am looking for a way to proactively monitor the stability of the Jira app connection. I have been advised by Zendesk Support to submit feature request.
