I have not received this update yet, and I hope I never will. That sounds awful.

You may circumvent the clicks by using keyboard shortcuts. Ctrl + Alt + x

Same here. I came looking for a way to remove this as well. Posting here so that hopefully I will remember to come back and check for an answer.

Edit to add: Even just moving it up to the same line as the view's title, without it blocking tickets from the view, would be ideal.
