is it possible to hide the chat widget on a site unless a chat was initiated from the knowledge base?

We want to put the classic widget on our pages, but it should only show anything if the chat was initiated from the zendesk knowledgebase help center.  We can put the widget on our pages using this:

And it does correctly show the chat if the users starts chatting in a different windows of the knowledge base, but we want the chat icon to be hidden if no chat has been initiated, i.e. they can only start the chat from the KB, but they can continue it when they go back to any page on our site.
