Limitations of Zendesk Guide Articles using HTML, CSS

Beantwortet

Gepostet 25. Juli 2023

Hi,

I'm an instructional designer and I'm currently exploring the capabilities/limitations of html and css code for our Zendesk Guide articles.

We use Zendesk Guide articles to train our customer service team and I'd like to implement animations.
However, the CSS code was written by an unknown staff of Zendesk. And I do not want to start exploring something that isn't possible.

Example of animations would be like a character saying hi or a collapsible masthead when you scroll down the helpcentre article.

Thank you

Hi Ken,

Off the top of my head, there isn't much in terms of limitations when you're making customizations to your help center directly in the code editor. Especially if you're manipulating the JavaScript, you should find your experience with the UI to be pretty close to writing any other application or web site. That said, we do also have custom pages which allow you even more flexibility if you do happen to run in to any roadblocks or limitations. Here's an article which goes in to more detail on custom pages:

https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409012911770-Creating-custom-pages-in-the-help-center

I hope this helps!
