Jira error: Zendesk subdomain is incorrect during set-up

Issue symptoms

I am unable to integrate Jira and Zendesk, specifically when authenticating at the account verification step. The Zendesk subdomain is pre-filled, un-editable, and isn't populated with the preferred target Zendesk instance.  

Conditions

• The Jira instance that you are trying to integrate is a copy of another Jira instance that has already been integrated to another (separate) Zendesk instance. 

• Un-installing and re-installing the add-on does not fix the problem.

Resolution steps

• In the home directory of the Jira instance that you're attempting to integrate, rename the file zendesk_plugin.properties
  • Rename to another file name, such as: zendesk_plugin.properties.bak
  • The purpose of the new name is for the re-install to create a new zendesk_plugin.properties file.
