EXPLORE - combined filter

Answered

Posted May 26, 2021

Hi there,

I would like to link two differents filters in my dashboard in order to make it looks "cleaner" and more user friendly.

I have a data filter on the differents ticket oraganizations name ( one organization = one country) and i have an other data filter with custom group for each world area ( America, Asia, Europe...)

I was wondering if it's possible to create a link between the two : When an user select Europe for exemple is it posible for the second filter to display only the country that are in the custom group "Europe" ?

hope i'm clear :)

Thanks for your help !

Regards

Alexandre

Hi Pagot,

Try to select Edit filter on the filters on the dashboard and select Cascade prompt in both of them. This should filter one data filter based on what is selected in the other. It will work both ways around, so if you select Europe it should only show countries in that world area, and if you select a country in Europe, only Europe will be visible in the world area filter.

I hope this helps.

Hi

I've tried this out
I got that the filters show the selectection in both filters but it had the rest of the unselected as well.

Replication :
I've set up 2 organization filters  and selected cascade prompt on both

Expected : only the selected organizations should appear in both filters.(the drop list contains only the select organizations)

Actual :  the selected organizations appear in both filters but all the rest of the unselected organizations appear below in the list

What am I missing?
