Manually assigned tickets do not get assigned

Hi!


Second day of Zendesk here.
I have looked for answers but could not find anything similar.

 

When I see a new ticket unassigned in the dashboard (or from views > unassigned tickets), I open them and select an assignee.

Then, I go one one step back and refresh the page. However, the tickets still looks unassigned and if I open the tickets, the assignee information disappears.

Am I doing something wrong?
(note, at the moment both me and my colleagues are admin of the page).

Hello Nico,

do you save the ticket using the „Submit as XY“-Button or do you just go back in the browser?

Hi Nils,

you solved the "mistery" in one question!

Now, I see the silly mistake. My errors were:

- I assumed it would save the "assignee" immediately by default without any save button; and

- I did not click the "submit" because to me "to submit" means to send a message not to save a command / setting change.

 

Now I can keep saying that Zendesk so far is so good :)
