Sell Smart Lists don't refresh when a lead is submitted via the Lead Capture Form

Smart Lists do not refresh to reflect a new lead when a lead is submitted by way of the Lead Capture Form.   I spoke with Lydia about this and she confirmed the trigger to refresh the list is not set up to catch these new leads (paraphrasing), and asked that I post here to submit the request for this.  For us this is a very valuable feature as our team is watching the smart list to respond quickly to new leads as they come in.

Hello Alex,

Smart lists should update according to your filters, so it may just be a matter of how your lists are currently filtering that is preventing the appearance of new leads submitted via the form.

Since leads that come in through the lead capture form don't have a differentiated tag or source, you could first add a mandatory checkbox field to the lead capture form and label it something like "Please check this box before submitting", and use that checkbox field in Sell to show you that the lead came in through the capture form.

Also note that smart lists will always up-to-date according to their filters. If the intention is therefore to see a current lead listing, you'll want to use the "added on" field as one of your list filters. In doing so, be mindful not to use a static date range, instead selecting "today", "this week", or "this month" as the date range, as those will include everything added most recently. "This week", for example, is a rolling date range - it will include things added 1 second ago and as far back as 7 days ago.

Hi Beau, we are working with Lydia and she confirmed the issue that Smart Lists don't refresh based on new leads from the Lead Capture form.  It sounds as though she chatted with ZD Developers as part of that discussion to confirm what we were seeing which is that the Smart List doesn't refresh for leads from Lead Capture form.  

Would you please check with Lydia if you believe it should be refreshing?   I'd love to figure out why ours doesn't... it does show the new lead with the existing filters if I refresh the tab in the browser.

Yes Lydia is correct here. Smart Lists don't refresh automatically and you would need to manually refresh the page once a new lead is submitted.
