Enable Additional Status Categories in Community
My company would like to let our customers know the status of their suggestions in 3 categories, instead of 2.
Can we add a status called "Under Review" or "Under Consideration" or "In Process" so that customers know that we are actively working on their idea?
This would provide them with a bit more comfort than just the "yes/no" nature of planned/not planned and completed. Thanks!

Exactly!

On the same topic, I would like to be able to see a list of all posts that have not been Answered, or have not been tagged with Planned/Not Planned/Completed.
This way I can easily see the list of posts that may have been overlooked and not responded to.
Can you please add to the list of filters "Untagged" or "Unanswered" or something like that?
Thanks

+1
I appreciate the simplicity of Zendesk but I have to agree having more statuses to choose from (how about letting us configure it?) and an easy way to look at posts and their statuses (or lack thereof) would be REALLY helpful.

Hello,
since the last post here we have started using our Community more and more and I was wondering if there is any progress on this? Will we be able to add another status to a post in addition to the standard Planned/Not Planned,Answered/Completed.
Thank you
Merav

This is a feature we would also like to see. From a product management status it's difficult to communicate to your users with only the statuses of "Planned", "Not Planned", or "Completed". At the very least, it would be helpful to have an "In Progress" option. However, ideally we'd like to have the ability to specify our own statuses.

Softdocs would really like to see this enhancement (configurable option). Our Product Development team members need additional statuses to help communicate the status of their product suggestions. Our Product Owner has requested the following:
Roadmap
Development
Final QA Testing
General Availability -
This feature would be very interesting especially because it is present in the software of your competitors

For a related thread, see Kasper's official comment here: Adding labels (e.g. tags) to posts
(not exactly the same, but may be helpful)

Thanks for starting the post Paul!
We use a separate platform for feedback, instead Gather is strictly used as a community forum. While we have been able to override the public-facing names of statuses in favor of our custom statuses. However, we would like to be able to add another status or two.
For example, there are threads where we never anticipate an end to the conversation. We would like to add an additional status of "Ongoing - Tell us more!"
Thanks!

It is very irritating that there are only four different status labels and no option to change the color nor the title. We used to hack in different titles but since our upgrade to Zendesk v2 this is not as easy anymore and there are still remnants of the original titles in certain places making this whole process quite unsatisfactory.
How can such a simple but high-impact feature not be higher on your priorities, Zendesk? It's been more than 6 years! At the very least, add in a few more (useful) labels, please.

We are a global software vendor and we use Zendesk Gather as Ideas platform for our product lines (= one community topic per product).
In the interest of our customers and partners, we want to be as transparent as possible - during the entire cycle - for their satisfaction - therefor our Product Owners need additional custom status categories to fullfil their job.
Currently it is just possible to select between these categories:
Here is a selection which we would like to implement with this functionality:
- Already exists
- Shipped or Released
- Needs review or Under consideration
- Duplicat
- In development
- Ready to ship
- Implementation effort sharing wanted
- Effort estimate follows
Are there any plans in the meantime to implement such a feature?
We saw the possibility to label existing status categories differently - this is really a nice workaround, but as mentioned above our POs need additional ones.
