Would love to see text to chat feature rollout

I would love to see a text to chat feature built in to Zopim in the future so that a visitor could text chat through their messaging app on their phone. This is huge in automotive right now and I can see it spreading to other industries. Here is an example of a site that has it: http://www.hondacity.net/

Thanks for the feedback. Zendesk is actually looking into SMS as a channel for the core Support product and it could potentially expand to a widget down the road.

Thanks for the quick response. Can you please clarify, is this SMS beta for Zopim or Zendesk? I am Zopim customer and hoping that I could use SMS on my website as an additional option alongside my live chat.

Hi John,
The SMS beta is for Zendesk, not Zopim. Zendesk acquired Zopim two years ago and Zopim has no plans to add SMS support in the immediate future.
The SMS beta will be living inside of the Zendesk dashboard experience for the time being.
If the beta isn't something you want to try, you can look at using a service like Twilio to build something custom.
