Allow Admins to change their own role

This would be an efficiency win for smaller & medium-sized organizations.

Our organization only has myself as an admin running Zendesk. The Account Owner and our head of IT are also admins in Zendesk, but they should not be bothered by adjusting my account. I believe this is an oversight on Zendesk's end for teams that only have one admin, and I'd request that the feature of an admin changing their own role be added.

Thank you!

Rudolph What is your use case for wanting to adjust your own role? If it is for testing agent access, we typically just assume into an agent via my.zendesk.com/users

The link you sent over doesn't work, but to answer your question, yes it's for testing essentially. I also needed to give myself a seat to use Zendesk Talk to make a call to a customer, because in Talk Admins can't make calls.

If Zendesk wants to require me to use the assume account trick to assume into another admin's account to make these changes, I can do that, but that is far from ideal for many reasons.

To clarify, do you mean for admins to grant themselves Talk or Chat licenses? Or to also be able to downgrade themselves?

Sydney Neubauer - Yep, both. Admins should be able to grant themselves licenses or remove themselves.

Yes that definitely makes sense! To be able to change your own permissions. I would not be opposed to be able to "fake" set yourself to an end-user/Agent role without the need to go to [myzendesk.com]/users as that is less streamlined
