When I answer a phone call in zendesk, my microphone volume is very low for the person on the other end and they are not able to hear me very well. This has been happing to my colleagues as well.

Hi Scott,
This typically happens when the hardware mic on your laptop / headset is set low. To change the input volume on a headset / mic see below:
Microphone Settings (Mac/Apple)
Microphone Settings (windows machines)

I have the same issue. I'm using a Plantronics headset (I believe Blackwire C3220 USB connection) and have followed the test you mention above. I have the volume set to 100 percent and it still only hits 24 percent.
Is there anything that can be done?

I would like to add to this comment. Not only is the volume too low on the Mic and Headset using Zendesk for incoming calls. Performing an outgoing call forces me to change my volume from 100% to 40% since the outgoing calls have a much louder volume level. I don't understand how these were not configured to match or found in QA testing. It sure appears whomever configured the incoming and outgoing call volume did not set the levels the same.
