Explore for Help Desk statistics - user data
Posted Feb 23, 2022
Hi,
I noticed there were some posts and comments that Zendesk users need to have customer data statistics to be recorded and reported (not just # views), but also:
- what company has viewed articles, what company did what searches
- names of users
- count number of the users (https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4409217354522-Count-of-Visitors-to-Knowledge-Base)
- time of the day when a specific user has checked an article (ideally if the first two points are available already)
I am sure I am not the only one, I could see many Zendesk customers were asking about it.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Anastasiia Jacobsen,
Thanks for your feedback, you're right, there is an increasing need from customers to see the HC visitors' identity, incl. names and companies.
I will mark your request so we can consider it for future improvements. One thing to note regarding identifying users, this can work for users who are logged in the help center: logged in end users and logged in staff members. We don't identify anonymous users and it will likely not change because of data protection regulations.
Cheers!

Hi Orsolya,
Thank you for taking care of this.
Yes, I am aware. We have our system closed and available only for logging in users.
I am looking forward to the change!
Regards,
Anastasiia
